Hi All
Just got my Delica earlier this week and will be starting to run it on B100 v.soon (it is replacing a VW Passat Diesel that has seen better days).
Any issues? From inspection of the fuel system the only places I can see of concern are the send/return lines from the fuel filter to the injector pump; do not know what the core material is. I cannot see any other risk points for BioD attack right now.
Can anyone offer any experience here?
Thanks
Don

Hi Don, we're still running plain diesel, but have been asking other Deli owners. "Sid" says 1993 and newer vehicles have the fuel lines that won't rot with the biodiesel, the earlier years need the fuel lines replacing (the rubber ???). But I am sure you will get expert answers soon on this site.
Cheers, Christine.

Hi Don,
Nice to see another co-op member driving a Delica. I joined the co-op back in January, but so far I've only met Jeff & Karel. I don't use much biodiesel as I have a WVO kit installed. I've only gone as far as b50 for fear that it might corrode my seals and/or clean of residue in my fuel system and plug my filter. I only burn through a tank of b50 once every 2-3 months, I'm not sure if this would be worse or better wearing on the seals/fuel lines.

Re: Any B100 issues I should know about?
I just had a conversation with Nathan at RJD Services in North Van (they do a lot of Delicas). I want to get all my hoses/seals/clamps replaced along with a new fuel filter so I can run a higher blend of Biodiesel. I think he said there's 5 different lines that need to be swapped out, and they replace the clamps as well. He said there's several junctions where a flexible line meets metal.
I'm sure someone who has done the swap themselves will be able to shed more light on the topic. Good luck!

Hello Don, besides hoses (easy for the do-it-yourselfer) and IP seals (CCauto cause your on the Isle); consider the paint used to coat the inside of per -93 Delica diesel tanks resistance to B100. Found that WVO and Methanol with remove it slowly. Properly processed B100 showed be fine but it would be easy to check by draining a little from each tank after a few months. Speaking from experience, this gunk won't make it through the filter.
Completely unsure how the 93's differ.

I only ran B20-B50 in our van which was a '92. In our new deli crewcab we are running B100, but we have aluminum fuel lines. I have been keeping an eye on the IP though. Not sure about the seals.

Watch the IP seals.
I had them go on both Pajero's (same as Delica 2.5) after running B100.
I also had my tanks removed/cleaned/coated. The shop said B100 would have stripped all the paint out and ran it through the fuel system = not good.
Best of luck. It's nice to run that blend.
