Great thought Bruce, and one that has been kicked around numerous times in the past.
A related thought for photos that had been proposed was to integrate this board with
PHPBBGarage -- This would be a good way to include details regarding member van modifications, etc. However, the structure of PHPBBGarage is does not seem to be well-suited for posting meet-photos, etc. Also, the present version compatible with PHPBB3 (the forum software powering this board) is still in Beta.
Coppermine Photo Gallerymight be a preferable platform for meet photos. It claims to offer “ntegration of user management with various bbs (like phpBB, YaBB SE, SMF, Invisionboard, vbulletin)”, however I’ll have to spend some time figuring out how to do this.
Another events-related feature I’m planning to include is a Club Calendar, which will be a good way to become aware of Delica-related events and gatherings.

I’m thinking that this ought to be included in the header bar, so it would now show:
“View unanswered posts | View active topics | Club Calendar”
Perhaps, once a particular event moves from the “future” to the “past period”, the calendar’s URL link for that event could be moved to the appropriate link in the Coppermine Photo Gallery – this way the calendar could serve as the portal for both upcoming events, and past event photos…
