Turbo Timers

We are carrying universal turbo timers. It has a preset timer for 1,3 or 5 minutes. Since msot delicas are turbo diesel, it is very important to have turbo timers installed to keep the turbo in good working condition. Price: $125.00

Does anyone in the community run with turbo timers? If not, what alternative do your use?

Turbo timer is a "no brainer" or "lazy driver" gadget that let's your car idle on it's own without the key after you left your vehicle. Don't want to take business away from dealers but l've own a few turbo cars and as you drive home, the last few minutes just take it easy and for added insurance, let your car idle for 30 sec to 1 min than be on your way. I'd rather save my $ for something else. A gadget... but we all love gadget don't we?

The purpose is to let oil continue to lub your turbo as it cools down. If you spool the turbo than shut it off right away, you also shut it's oil (cooling/lub) supply and it cause damage on the long run...

I actually almost crashed yesterday when I was braking and suddenly something slipped under the pedal and I couldn't depress it.

Whew~ Luckily I was only coasting to a red light at around 12km/hr and had enough time to look and kick away that piece of s**t and then slowly hit the brakes~ (otherwise, I might have had to resort to doing the e-brake stop)

Well, what was that thing that all of a sudden appeared under my brake pedal? It was a turbo timer ... it was apparently stuck behind the steering column a while back. I found some velcro stickies stuck to it and found that it used to be stuck below the dash to the left of the steering column. And the last good thing is... it works~ now I have a timer... hohoho... when I'm lazy, can set it to anytime I want and lock and go~

That's what I've been doing before... not that hard, just park the car, pull out the faceplate, stick it back into your carrying case and into your bag, undo the seat belt, pull out the steering wheel lock (anti-theft device) and lock it, open the door, and then turn off your car and close the door... that's well over 30 secs to 1 min... That's the habit I'm still doing now on most occasions... that is... until I can get my alarm installed when I come back from Sun Peaks~

edit: it was late... I forgot to mention to get outta the @##$%#$^ car after you open the door and before you close the door... lol
