Problems going into USA - just another bad rumour??

Post by rjd »

Hey All,

I really hate to be the one that might cause a rumour being spread by posting this but thought I would check as it would be a severe downer if it happened unknowingly. I heard from a friend of a friend of my brother (you get the idea) that US border might not let a RHD cross into the States. Any thoughts, experience with this?

I hear ya. :)

But I was down in Utah canyon country in the fall for a Green River canoe trip before I got my Delica and I have dreams about going again with the Delica - it's awesome down there.

Doesn't sound like its a problem going down. More like a problem coming up!

Thanks - an untrue rumour as I suspected.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I go down every week in the express lane and nobody mentions it. After all, the mail delivery guys are all RHD

Unless things have been changed since summer 2006 it shouldn't be a problem. I went to California for a couple months and had no trouble getting into the States and none coming back into Canada. I always pick the "quieter" borders 176, Aldergrove and haven't had any trouble.

Never had a problem, went into the USA a few times and the only thing that went a little different was once when I crossed at the Osoyoos crossing, the American border guy cracked a smile and asked me all about it. He loved it.
