Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

1992 L300 (4D56) IP timing tool thread size

Post by AKcub »

Going to check the IP timing on my Deli. Does anyone have the thread size for the access hole in the IP handy? Also, is the crush washer that goes in the access hole for the dial indicator something that NAPA or local auto parts store would have?

Thanks

Scott

Check L300 Dedicated Technical Reference Library/L300 Shop Manual Downloads. Look in "Delica Canada Technical" in the Board Index.

Thanks for the info Falco but nothing in the service manual has the size of the access hole in the ip. Tool part number and procedure but no size. Google-ing the part numvbr for the mitsu tool isn't much help.
I need the adapter that goes into the ip for the dial indicator but am not sure if a generic VW adapter in 10 or 12mm will work. The best way (short of someone here who has tool measuring the threads) would be to pull access plug and measure the threads. The van is currently 1400 miles away from me so that's not a great option for me.
