Ignition alarm buzz sound??

Just recently an alarm/buzz sound comes on when I turn the ignition off, key still in.....what is it for? We have noooo idea what it means, any help would be great, thx!

Ugly sounding squeal/buzz? It sounds a bit like the lights-on warning buzzer. It's only supposed to sound when you remove the key, but the switch that detects the key tends to wear out.

It'll also sound if you've turned on the spotlights/fog lights switch- but I think you'd notice the dashboard lights being on. Or the flat battery after leaving it a while.

Does the sound eventually stop? Or is it out on the street now singing the song of its people?

Could it be related to DRL wiring?

Ahhh, ok, that makes sense..Yes it stops as soon as you take the key out. haha
Yea, no other indicators are coming on, so that's good. Thanks!
