2"lift and no idea whitch part #????

Post by P.Gaudreault »

Good day all, I know there are tones of tread about this subjet but I still confused..
My Deli suspension is due for been change and I'am thinking to installed 2" lift kit at the same time. I want to buy CCA HD coil spring for the rear and change all four shock absurber.

I drive a L400 Chamonix 1998.

First question:
If I buy longer shock, do I need to installed a spacer on the front suspension for having 2" lift???

Second question:
Part number?? I have read so much info about it that I have no idea what to order. I want good shock for 50/50 city/offroad and fit perfectly with 2"lift kit To alowed me to get a better suspension travel.

Third question:
Whitch option do I have?? I want a good and safe lift kit that will last for years on my van..

Thank you and happy new year!!!

Some vans lift with just the T bars, others require a ball joint block. Try lifting the t bars first then follow with an alignment. Your camber/caster goes out when you lift with the block or the TB's.
Part number??
Rancho RS999005 rear 17-28" low-hi ,rancho RS999136 front 11-16" low-hi. $285/pair at Lordco :-D :-D
Whitch option do I have??
Don't know, only installed a few months ago. It gets to be quite subjective, but IMHO these are the best of the 3 types available. :-D

The engineered design body height is optimum, any changes you make cause torsion bar, ball joint and alignment complications. It still works okay but assume more parts wear and replacements. :-(

PM me for my ph number if you want any more info. :-D

Thank for your answerd. I look at these shock they look prety good. Ajustement for on and off road or if I load the van. Like it. :) There is an australian web site that I looked this afternoon, there is a lift kit for my van without spacer for the front. But there is new torsion bar. I gues I can play with the T bar and get 2" lift.

Hi
I got spacers and springs. Awesome service!
Still don't know how these shock will work. With suspension fully extended all im left with is 1 3/4 travel.
Unless there is something im missing there is no way I can use these shocks on my l400 delica.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Marco

M
Have a qualified mechanic do a shock travel measurement for your back and front shocks. It's possible you purchased the incorrect length shocks. The pictures don't show enough detail and information.

I am a trades man myself. I'm measuring and will order proper shocks. I should have done this before I bought shocks...this is the numbers stated at beginning of thread.
Though I would save time....should know better :(
Yes I have boots to cover shock

Hi,
I didn't look at this site for a while. I'am installing my suspension and there is just the front left to install. You said that these shocks don't work with 2'' lift??
