Hi all.
Great forum, been lurking on here for a few weeks.
I just put down a deposit on a 90 l300 still in Japan (yes, it was expensive).
I live in Los Angeles but I've been up here in Vancouver for almost 3 months now for work, my first time in Canada. I totally fell in love with the delicas I see all over town and just had to have one.
I currently drive an 05 sprinter, short short wheelbase down in LA but I've been stuck in sand in the desert multiple times and loved the small size, diesel, 4x4 of the delica.
I'm getting the car next month, I'll get it registered here in BC and then at Xmas when my work up here is done I'll drive it down to Cali.
Driving it a bit up here will give me an easier time to address any of the kinks or repairs needed since there's a lot more shops familiar with delicas up here.
I do some fab work on motorcycles and prop vehicles so I'm thinking this will be a little more of a madmax build and much less of a JDM project.
Just to give you an idea this is my sprinter next to a picture truck that we did up for last season of true detective.

Anyone here in Vancouver/ Victoria area care to recommend any shops to do a mild 1-2" lift on it?
Cheers all
Gustaf (or Goose, either works)
