Follow the link.
http://www.delica.ca/forum/the-engine-4 ... -7335.html
It covers all L300 engines....gas and diesel versions. (Of you have the 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine you would want to look at the 4D56T information).

The info is there. Look in section 11.9 pg 55 of the pdf file.
If that is not detailed enough you may have to buy an electronic manual....or pour over the manual sections in the Technical Forum on Delica.ca

The outer seal? The one that stops oil from getting on the balance belt? Once you've removed the sprocket you should be able to just pry the seal out and fit a new one in its place without removing the balance shaft.
At least, that's what I did.

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

remove plug from side of engine. Insert screw driver to lock sc in place.
If you are changing the pulley seal now is the time crack the pulley loose.
Remove large plug from above sc pulley and undo bolt inside.
Remove lower front cover (you crank pulley etc must already be removed)
Remove screw driver from side of block and slide sc out.
On back of front cover you will find a small gear box. If you are replacing this gasket as well as the pulley seal take note that the cogs have two small dimples on them. These must be like end up with each other upon reasemmbley.
