Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Parts catalog

Post by Erich »

I've been through the reference library and have not come across a parts catalog. I can find part numbers with a description for my car, but I'm looking for a parts catalog with exploded diagrams. It would make ordering parts a lot easier. Any ideas?

There is, somewhere in this website, a downloadable programme that's an illustrated catalogue that goes with the OEM numbers. It was introduced by a member called "Profister" and if memory serves me right, he got it off the Russians. Where exactly it is I know not but if you search Profister's posts you're eventually going to find it.

Also, if it's just exploded diagrams your after then I suspect you've discovered the shop manuals? It doesn't have everything but it has a fair amount: Delica Canada » Board index » Delica Canada Technical » FAQ & Technical Reference Libraries » L300 Dedicated Category Reference Forum » L300 Shop Manual Downloads.

Thanks, Falco. I've corresponded with profiteer and am getting the parts catalogs. The shop manuals are helpful, but as a "wrench" I like to see all the parts, which a shop manual often abbreviates. Things like lock washers, blind fixes, that sort of thing. Parts manuals also show an entire assembly.

Nice find, Tyler! I'm going to add this into the "Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes" thread in Delica FAQ Section.

Only thing is that those are not the OEM numbers, I'm guessing they are Russian specific. The VIN field also doesn't recognise my Japanese VIN. How does your Auto Value Parts cross reference them?

Falco.

P.S.: Okay, I get it... you click on the Ruski part number and it directs your attention to the list on the right; click on the highlighted item and it takes you to the OEM parts number. FC.

I listed my frame number and was able to get into the system. However, the categories for the aftermarket supplier, do not list a Delica Starwagon, only the van/wagon. So, some parts for those interchange with the Delica. Also, there is a Montero category, so some of those parts interchange. The reason to have a complete parts catalog, is certainly to be able to order parts, but also to know how parts fit together. If you have a recurring issue with some component since getting the car, you will never know that somebody forgot to replace the belleville washer that made it work correctly. Having restored a lot of cars and motorcycles in the past, this is pretty common. Being able to look at a diagram, you can identify any missing parts.

On further examination it appears that the initial numbers are PNC numbers as they correlate with the JDM Online Catalogue PNC numbers. I believe PNC stands for Parts Number Catalogue, perhaps someone might be able to confirm?

Erich, once you have the OEM parts number you can get it at the American Mitsubishi dealer, no? Or at least get it crossed at your local after market parts dealer?

I've updated the Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes thread with a basic guide.

Hi Falco, unless I'm missing something, I still don't have the exploded diagrams showing all the parts. The complicated thing that I'm learning about the Delicas, is the number of superseded parts. The local Mit parts guy at the dealer has an exploded diagram in his parts catalog, but often it is necessary to reference a diagram as some Mit parts have the same number. For instance, I just ordered a new radio antenna and the part number between the later single attachment point and the earlier dual attachment is identical. That's why actually seeing a diagram, rather than using a description, is important.

Same with me when ordering a bolt for my saddle: There is PNC75111C and PNC75111B; both bolts in similar shapes but different sizes, one's to attach the seat to the pan, the other is to connect the seat with the back support. With the link that +weather has posted (http://catalogs.marketparts.ru/) there are exploded diagrams, which as you have noted, make things a lot easier. If you know your VIN, which should be either P25W-XXXXXXX or P35W-XXXXXXX, the first four digits describe the type of Starwagon, respectively low roof diesel wagon (P25W) or high roof diesel wagon (P35W).

Have you gone to the Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes thread? I've just loaded up a basic guide of how to get through to what you want to see. For the P25W (low roof diesel wagon), this is what you see when looking for the radio antenna:
154_5503P8QA0T.png
154_5503P8QA0T.png (11.83 KiB) Viewed 5624 times
You click on the PNC# on the diagram and then on the highlighted in the list to the side, this brings up the OEM number.
Falco.
