Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Rain deflector fit problem

Post by nishby »

Does anyone know the secret to installing aftermarket rain deflectors on an L300? The one's I got from Mardy are a bit too long, and too thick to allow the window to go up all the way into the slot.
Has anyone dealt with this?

There's 2 breed of deflector, one that goes in the slot alongside the window rubber, and one that sticks outside on the doorframe with tape. Assuming you have the former, and arent trying to stuff the latter into the window frame ;-) then when I fitted similar deflectors to mine I found it easier to remove the window rubber, and trim the small lip off the edge thats inside. Fitting the deflector takes up the gap you trim off.

Thanks but Mardy just pointed out that I have the first type, which in hindsight should have been obvious. :?
