Mardy gave me an awesome deal back in '07 (I think) on my L300.
The van was delivered on schedule and serviced, tuned, ready to roll.
Since I also wanted to do some "stuff" to it, I got to utilize his extensive contacts in the world of Richmond automotive gurus, and my Deli was just like I wanted it to be.
A few years later I was forcefully "persuaded" to sell my Deli by my other half, and regretted it ever since...
Fast forward to a beautiful July 2012..
I called Mardy up, as I have decided to get another JDM diesel.
After checking his wares out, I decided to pick up the Challenger(Montero) he had for quite a while...(Why did nobody scoop it before me is beyond me).
Once again, Mardy rocked the house, got it serviced, ready to roll and tuned.
The truck is excellent, runs like new, rolls like new.
Big thumbs up to Mardy, and I am glad I have found this truck.
It has the same engine/tranny as the new Delicas and Pajeros, but it is a bit smaller and lighter, so the acceleration and handling is nicer.
Ride quality is great and yet it is roomy enough for my 2 kids, wife, dog and various associated paraphernalia :)
Thanks Mardy!
I hope you bring some more of those CHallengers, as they seem to be a very nice alternative to the Deli/Paj for someone looking for something big...just not QUITE that big.
I will post the fuel economy and pictures once I have them.
Do not change your style Mardy!
CHeers!

I have always liked the look of that Challenger, and wondered when someone would scoop it. Very nice! Pictures would be awesome. Congrats and welcome back.

Hi Craig
I thought about it carefully, and there were some definite advantages in getting that Challenger.
All mechanical and body parts domestically available (Montero Sport)
It is somewhat lighter and smaller than Paj, so I should get better fuel economy.
Engine and granny are Paj/L400, so in case of serious issues parts and know how are easily available.
It fits in all underground..lol more important to my wife than me, but that was one. The reasons I was persuaded to sell the L300...
I'll post some photos in member rides when I have a second.
