Searching has ended, now proud owner of L400

Post by lettereleven »

Hi all,

After much obsessing, and searching I've finally become a proud Delica owner. Many thanks to Noel @ Enviroimports in Victoria for helping me out. Last Saturday, I took the ferry over to check out the van, only to get stuck in the terminal back to Vancouver for 9 1/2 hours because of the ferry cancellations. I figured I "earned" it.

Here is my first picture of "Blueberry". Yes, Blueberry. Thats what happens when you ask your 4-year old daughter to name your van. Small price to pay though.

More pictures to follow...

Looking forward to the February meet.

I'm not a huge fan of the L400's but that's a nice looking rig right there. Good job!

I was wondering who was going to end up with that beast! Meanest looking L400 I've seen, congrats!

Now that's one wild L400. Same color as mine to boot. I'm a tad jealous of the flares you have. I am trying to get my hands on that style myself......dam..

To quote a little Johnny Cash: "So I give you that name when I said goodbye, because I knew you'd have to get tough or die, and it's that name that helped to make you strong..." You could make your own song called "A Van Named Blueberry" :-D That is certainly one of the meanest looking vans I've seen. Looks awesome!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Driving Blueberry has been simply amazing.

Sadly, I am going to have to trade-up her 5" lift for a mere 2" lift. I was getting kinda used to looking over the top of Escalades, yukons, and Caravans. Sometimes you just have to do whats best for the family. A slightly lower Deli is better than no Deli at all, no?

Can't wait to take it off the beaten path.

Why going down... well its to keep the "family" happy. My "family" is only 5'1" and couldnt get into the driver side, let alone drive it.

In terms of the fate of the kit, I am sorry, but it has been spoken for.

Jamie.
