WOW! Delica are awesome! I need one soon! L300 vs L400

Post by fastkatanaboy »

Hello, No more Jeeps for me. I need a Delica!

Quick question: Does the L400 have low range gear?

I surfered around the site but have not located scans of original sales brochures, reviews or manuals.
What is a good resource for my shopping, tech details, features, options, versions and reviews?

Thanks!
Michael

Welcome

L400 has low range unfortunately you cannot bring one into the USA. Needs to be 25 years old.

Search import to US on here.

Cheers

There are rumblings of proposed changes to the 25 year rule in the US. Not sure how much gravity the rumblings have but perhaps there is hope for our southern neighbours (read neighbors :-D )

Fastkatanaboy... Transfer case has 2WD, AWD (for the road), 4WDHigh - locked (diff lock), 4WDLow - locked (diff lock). Hope the rules change for you!

Where did you hear these rumblings? I am still working on obtaining a letter of compliance to have my Deli down in the US as a citizen of Soviet Canuckistan!

The rumblings are the same rumblings that have been rumbling for decades. :-D Not happening anytime soon.

From a totally selfish perspective - lets hope they don't change things anytime soon - sorry Mr. Fibble.

Imagine how competitive the market would get if it were suddenly open to a country with 10 times our population. That would be then end our steady stream of premium JDMs.

I don't know if our stream is so steady or premium, after all, the Ozzies and Brits get first shot at these Vans long before we do.
