Genuine vs. counterfeit Mitsubishi parts

Post by Profister »

Have you ever purchased genuine Mitsubishi parts for your lovely MMC car/van/SUV? Are you sure they were really genuine? Look at the pictures below: 2 of 4 parts shown are not so 'genuine'. In fact they are counterfeit but cost you as much as real ones. How good are they? You do not know until you use them. If you do not want to play a game of a chance educate yourself.
First of all the plastic bag should not have a thick notisable seam. Second and more important is a label. Things to look at include:

- round vs. sharp corners
- grey colored lines are darker
- letters BK in the left bottom corner

The most important difference is that the Mitsubishi Motors logo sign should be visible only at a certain angle.
Be aware! :M

not sure if they exist but it's good knowledge to have as identifiers if they are out there being sold.
