Royal Exceed MMMC/Touchscreen Nav/Heater/TV

I've searched around a little (for Touch Screen, and MMMC, and Navigation), and I've seen what our British friends have to say (http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.p ... c&start=15 ), but now I'm putting it out to the board:

Does anyone else have/have experience with the Mitsubishi Multi Media Controller/touchscreen deal as came in the Royal Exceeds?

I have purchased a 1996 Royal, and from the pictures it has an aftermarket stereo installed, and still has the original touchscreen above it. What I would like to do is remove all of the MMMC stuff, fit a lower spec HVAC control unit (like the digital one from the Super Exceed) where the stereo is now, and put a new double-din touchscreen/nav/bluetooth unit where the MMMC screen was.

What say you? Possible? Likely to succeed? Totally nuts?

pull the control module and swap in a super/royal HVAC unit. only one way to find out !

I know that you can't swap out the push/pull with the HVAC and vice versa. When I had a push/pull I checked. The harness is there but the servo actuated flaps that the HVAC controls are non existent on the push/pull model. Instead the flaps are manually activated via cable.

I'm not sure if the servo flaps are the same on your Royal as a pre+96 Royal/Super.

so, colour me "In the market for super exceed climate controls and centre panel" if anyone is parting out an L400, or wants to swap in a MMCS screen for that Royal Exceed feeling.
