Hi All,
I just purchased a 91 L300- I believe the previous owner was active on this site (though I don't know his username) so the van may be familiar. I am so glad I finally went for a Delica, after years of being on the fence. I've already had several great trips, including a fairly gnarly and steep logging road, and it's handled like a champ! I will be attempting to perform a few upgrades, camperization and general TLC, so I'm looking forward to participating in this forum.
Cheers!
Peter

Congrats Peter!
It took me awhile to finally commit to buying as well. I just joined the forum a couple of weeks ago. Today I went down to CVI Automotive and had Butch go through the van with a fine toothed comb. My van is running fine, but I thought that he might be able to give me some good pointers. He did point out a bunch of minor things that I hadn't noticed before, as well as some of the regular maintenance to be done over the next few years, and some issues that need to be monitored like a slight leak from the turbo. One really important detail was a rusted pin that holds one of the linkages on the IP. When he pulled that out it disintegrated. Replaced it with a new split pin at no charge. My point is that he knows these vans inside and out, and I learned a ton.
Happy off roading!
