Toss HID's in there and you'll be amazed at the difference.

Re: 7inch Headlight conversion
Hi Jfarsang,
Is it possible to replace the low beams with HID on a l400? If so, how can I do it and how will I know it is the right one? My stock low beams are not even adequate for regular using on the highways.
Thanks for help. ( Think me & wife met you at the Deli meet in Richmond last week )

HID gets used on most of the Baja1000, Paris-Dakar, etc vehicles. So I don't think they are very sensitive to vibrations.

I run an HID setup on my Suzuki DR650 (single-cylinder enduro motorcycle). H4-style replacement bulb in the stock lens with a 35W ballast which is mounted under the seat against the frame. If it can handle the vibrations from that single-cylinder paintshaker, I'm sure it'll do just fine on your vehicle.fexlboi wrote:HID gets used on most of the Baja1000, Paris-Dakar, etc vehicles. Re: 7inch Headlight conversion
HID's are more sturdy than halogen and incandescent bulbs, which is why they can be used for off-road activities. However, converting halogen bulbs to HID's for street purposes is dangerous and illegal. See here...http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech ... d/HID.html If you have H4 (HB2) bulbs I would recommend Ring XenonMatch, Osram NightBreaker and/or Philips Xtreme Vision.
If you still want HID's try Valeo Sylvania 7" HID's (http://suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=267), or Osram Sylvania Xenarc HID sealed-beam replacement (http://suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=214).
