Delica Pics from Japan and China

Post by M3ti Compact »

I took these pics on my recent trip to Japan and China.
The only thing preventing me from getting a Delica here in Ontario is insurance. No company will take RHD. I even ask for facility, and was told no by brokers.
If someone has got a connection, please let me know.

For now, enjoy these pics of Delicas in their element while I wait on the phone for another rejection after this broker "checks with their manager".

In Shenzhen, China

LEFT HAND DRIVE!! Easy to register and insure in Ontario, Quebec, PEI

Interesting yellow lane barrier things in China. Is that a taxi or loading zone?

I've often heard "they don't salt the roads in Japan." It looks like they do to me!

Cool pictures. Those first two L300s look extended to me.

If you haven't already, check the other post about Ontario insurance. There's many places that will insure Delica's you just have to keep looking and calling.

You could always get a LHD Delica from Taiwan.

Question: does anyone know if the VIN numbers from Taiwan are 17 characters like NA vehicles? Or will the issue of short VIN numbers still be a hassle whenever you need to do anything (ie. licence plate sticker, insurance)?

BTW, cool shots! Wow that's a lot of snow.

I have been to the Toyama area of Japan (near Nagano) they didn't use salt on the roads but they had a sprinkler system set up in the middle of the road.... so when it snowed they would melt it off with running water.
