all oils are not the same but i am not educated enough on the subject to give a reccomendation based on quality.
as far as i am aware motomaster oils are sourced from shell. I have no idea which model of the brand but i figure these days most brands of the oils, even noname brands, have basically the same quality compared to 20 years ago. so i just buy according to price. I assume most noname brand oils probably come from the same lot as quality brand lower range and are just rebadged.
I am sure the Rotella brand and higher priced oils are better but for 3-5000km oil change intervals i really dont care. old vehicles leak and do not have very tight tolerances compared to vehicles today and the oil gets dirty fast so i do not waste money on synthetic. some newer engines go for 3-4 times the distance before an oil change and the oil looks just as clean as when you put it in so synthetic in this is a great choice. in my van and truck, as soon as i change the oil and drive it for 5 km it looks just as dirty as before i changed it.
