I second that! What a smart and simple idea! I do not buy from ESSO and PetroCanada for years. Unfortunately we, diesel lovers are more limited in our choice. How about to use SuperStore's gasbar only?

You have my support. Environmental issues aside, I have to laugh at all the whining about fuel prices ie: dude at work bitching while he orders a bottled water at the coffee shop for about 15$/gallon hahaha!

When I say I won't get much support from this forum - I certainly don't mean to offend the members - I love this place. What I really mean is that a forum dedicated to awesome niche vehicles is not the best place to advocate higher fuel prices.
I know I will get support from some members, and will probably annoy others, but it's a integral part of my world view and it just slips out. And almac - I want to be on WVO by this summer's road trip season as well - I know it's not "the" solution, but at least I can stop supporting big oil so much.

I didn't, and now I'll have to pump diesel today... What is the difference?
If you really want to stick it to the man, sell your van and pump up the tires on your bicycle.

Cute story, although it doesn't really have any substance.
I am sure the oil companies love to see these chain letters. they just laugh it off knowing that our lives revolve around their commodity and there is really nothing John and Jane can do about it. Its too bad our governments enjoy the influx of cash from the oil companies and are kept too fat to nationalize the oil companies and keep prices artificially low like in Mexico. I know I wouldn't mind saving 50 bucks a week on fuel to be put into savings, investments, beer or whatever I want.

I filled up on the 15th, gas was the same price because the oil companies / gas stations know we're still going to need the fuel at some point but on the plus side I had no problem finding a pump and could take my sweet time as well.

Well, I just started my first desk job, I was thinking now that I am going to be sitting on my ass all day I might as well try to stay in shape and save on diesel this summer. Solution? $872.11 on a hybrid bicycle for my 28km round trip from work and back (lets hope I can do it!). Given the situation in the middle east and looking at Europe as an example, my guess is that we will be at $2 a liter next summer. Hopefully we will start to see some diesel options from the major car manufacturers in the next few years, I have no problem driving a 1.8 litre turbo if it gets me 50 mpg... I just don't want to drive a VW.

With hyper greed oil companies it will happened sooner.
This morning 138,9/L, last night was 134,8/L, so we can see "huge" demand was created somehow overnight.
