Assume it's a 5spd then....so might be worth checking if the trans will work with a 4D56/L300. Differentials as well. Would be interesting to know if the trans & diff gear ratios are different (taller/higher) than on the manual trans. L300s, since the latter are a tad too low geared to be ideal for our roads.

With a V6 it may have slightly taller/higher gearing as the engine would produce power/torque at a lower RPM than the 2.4L 4cyl gasser those came with... but maybe not at much different RPMs than a diesel 4D56.

If trans is compatible with Delica then even if yours is an Auto, would be worth salvaging to sell (maybe to me one day, though hopefully not, knock on wood  )
That's true, it would be worth checking out. It may have the same transmission as the Strada!? Or would the transmission depends on the engine in which case it should be the same as the L400 gasser.

Any ideas on how I can figure out if the rims from this vehicle will work on my Delica with it's 2" lift. The truck has 31's but I don't know if width and offset is correct. Any way of checking? Will I be able to tell if I fit them in my driveway?
Thanks

New pics of the truck. The indicator was mutilated by a 'hit-and-runner' I just built the box this past weekend.

Hi Nick, wonder what you are putting in the box ? Looks like to me its for live stock as there is a vent on the top. Just curious. BTW , Max looks really good shape and that price is quite a steal. :-)

Cheers,

Thanks

I'm putting garbage in it mostly. The reason for the vent is that I've put a joke with 2 doors over it in the front. When that's open and I'm sticking 10 foot lenths of wood out of it for example I don't want pressure building up I side and blowing my back doors open. I've also made the roof fold in the middle on too so I can still carry tall items if need be eg) a fridge. I've also added a 2x4 with veneer above the cent and attached to the roof to provide lateral support because the roof itself isn't screwed into the sides at the front and is only tied down with rope.

I hope this makes sense and doesn't sound too much like rambling :-D

I go to the dump a lot so I checked my weight against what I was the week before.

Looks good guy, fantastic condition for a couple g's.

How does the suspension hold up with those timbers in the back? I also enjoyed your shameless plug at the end!

..hmm... I should do that. :M

The suspension is rated for 1 ton, same as an F350 so it handles the weight really well (just a bit bumpy).

Pictures and signatures don't show up in google searches so it's not the best form of plugging...shameless nonetheless though. :-D

Well the truck is dead and hopefully will be off to a good home and be back on the road shortly.

This is the new work truck...
