Re: Should Delica Trading Post Be Reserved Only For Canadian
looks like the mods were just trying to get a feel for how members think about international buyers or sellers. might not have been set up the best way but no need to get your knickers in a not. maybe a simple pm to the mods about the situation and time to reply and sort it out might have been sufficient without the dramatization about account being hacked. seems to be some animosity towards mods here on the forum by some or am I just reading it wrong?
cant see anything wrong myself with international sellers or buyers but I do know what it is like trying to buy something local when out of the country and having to jump through a lot of crap just to get something done. yes I do travel a lot, yes I do still try to buy stuff when travelling but I hate having to ask friends to buy something for me on ebay etc because some one wont sell to someone outside of the country.
if the forum isn't a money making exercise then get rid of traders altogether or make one area where they can say who they are and what they have and members have to contact them if interested, instead of a few traders all offering their own stuff on a members thread.

Just to redirect my original point.
If you want to BUY from international sellers, you go to international sites. No worries. Not saying you can't or shouldn't do that.
But the post was from an Aussie trying to get a little extra exposure for his ad on a foreign site with no intention to sell to Canadians. That is what I thought was a bit inappropriate.
I have posted/requested parts on the site and foreigners have emailed me about them. I find that in part suspicious and in part annoying.
There is no reason we can't have an International trades section, but I would add a header warning to it like the CL warning that encourages our users to take care dealing with international sellers.
Now I'm done making this point. Thanks for modding this into an appropriate place Falco.

Its called moderation. I asked Falco to move it because I didn't want other readers to feel like we were debating the specific ad or the OP. Poor guy just wants to sell a diff.jfarsang wrote:Did someone hack into my delica.ca account !?!
It shows that I'm the original thread creator but I didn't create this thread, nor the title.
I only responded to this thread here:

Below is my quote in that thread just to give an average cost to ship a 3rd member from AUS to CND.
What's going on?

Shipping ended up being $360 after customs.
Should be much easier to sell it over there in Australia and less complicated to ship. Cheers
If you don't want drama, don't make drama.
I've said my peace. Notifies off. Have a nice day.

Not quite sure WHAT this thread is about...
...maybe I just stopped caring enough to answer the question in the title.

What about Reserved Delica .ca for Cdn members only.
I think members are mature enough to know what they doing, Useless thread.
A big NO
