I'm new!

Post by FrankieW »

Hi all

Well, I've always wanted a Delica and now I have it. I rule! (sorry, couldn't help the American Beauty reference). Hope to meet some of you and get some good pointers. I already have one question... We're taking it to the interior next week for its inaugural road trip (Revelstoke/Golden area). Can anyone recommend any good back roads around that area for a beginner such as myself??

Also, if any events come up, I would love to hear about it!

PS sorry for the blurry pic. I'll take another one

Welcome

First suggestion is to make sure the cooling system and timing belts are recently serviced and L300 a Pyro is a great investment as you can melt pistons with too much diesel on steep climbs.

Nice rig. I saw it driving around Vancouver a few weeks ago.

I am thinking most of the back roads up in the rockies are still going to be covered in snow. If you are going sledding or skiing in the back country there should be some roads open to there starting spots.

Welcome.

A pyro as mentioned is an invaluable engine monitoring tool, especially for a new user.

For offroading as a noobie, this is one of many threads with some good advice (different location but the basics are universal)

Welcome to Delica Canada, Frankie :M

Would I be correct in saying that was Josh's Wagon? I look forward to hearing more from you and your experiences... smiles.
