Neighbour saves family from New Westminster blaze ...

Post by FalcoColumbarius »

It can be astonishing what one can find on the web. Sometimes an interesting story about some guy's singing cat, sometimes an interesting story about what really counts in life:

Well done Delicat, you get a beer for that one.

Falco.

(Quote from David from the article):

'Although Francoeur is being praised for his actions, he doesn't think he should be called a hero.
"That's overkill; it's just a reaction. I am sure you would have done the same," Francoeur told CTV News.'

Pardon my language, but bullsh!t. My wife and I have been around enough people in enough situations to know that *not* everyone would have done that.

Plenty of folks would've sat on their collective asses and waited for someone else to show up and actually do something.

Modesty is obviously another virtue!

Well friggin' done! :-D :-D

Sure saving 3 people from a burning house is incredible, BUT you have gone above that and got Steven and Jesse to agree on something in the same thread. OUTSTANDING WORK!!

Kudos D-Man! You did a great thing. I knew it was one of us when they said you were working on your vehicle at midnight.

You're the man! I loved the fast thinking and the fact that it was captured on tape. As it was said most would just sit on the curb and watch, waiting for services to arrive.

I Hope the family can also move on and start rebuilding, loss due to fire is quite a life experience.
