Who is running Veg and what systems?

Just saw another post similar and thought the WVO crowd should stand up and be counted.

so what kit are you using or is it homebuilt, what is your filter setup, make model and year of the vehicle (doesn't have to be a Deli :)) and anything else you want to add. Might be nice to sticky this if there is a reasonable response.

I have a 92 all black super exceed Delica, with an Elsbett single tank conversion. I filter with a dieselcraft OC-20 centrifuge powered by a 1/2HP gear pump and an inline heater that is 2 water tank heaters in a large pipe (will post pics soon).

Good idea.

Mine is a '91 SuperExceed using the Plantdrive system with custom made heated aluminum tank (not as shown here, that was my initial set up which I later changed). Loving it!

Does a WVO mix count? I add 6-9 liters of paint bag filtered rice bran oil to the diesel tank of my Nissan pick up weekly. Rice bran oil burns without odor, and so far appears to be mixing well (I drained a small amount from the bottom of the tank last week) thanks to the warm weather and Thai potholes.

Try to do this every week with what oil is left over after giving a portion to the Burmese workers; can’t so no to low paid immigrants (not my employees btw) whom seem very happy to receive free oil for their cooking needs.

I have run a plantdrive two tank system on my Landcruiser for the last three years. I have about 75,000K on the system. I have a 130L auxillary tank behind the rear axle. I also have the plantdrive system on my 2000 VW Jetta with about 50,000K with a 60L spare tire tank installed.

Just now trying to figure out a centrifuge as I am tired of filter bags :-)

70L Marine aluminum tank -> 3/8 fuel line -> Racor 4601 12V + coolant heated filter -> IP - return 3/8 -> tank

Vegpower 3-way valves with a single 3-way purge switch in cab

keepin' it simple :-D

HEy folks , nice to know who shares similar experiences. I've had my star wagon ( basic model) on WVO for over a year now, with very few glitches...(ran out of fuel a few times because my fuel gauge is sitting in the garage uninstalled yet). I put my system together, ordering parts from many different sources, trying to find the best deals. I probably spent the sam as if I had bought a kit, but ended up with better components. I'm using a 75L marine tank where the spare tire was, with a coolant heated HOTFOX unit in the tank. Where the second battery can go, I cut out the plate and mounted a Griffin G900(Racor ripoff) with electric heating element within the filter. I also used two 3 port valves so I can purge. A nice three way switch in the cab(veg on, off, purge).. I'd say its all worked great, but this winter the plastic bowl on my filter cracked. I've now replaced it 3 times.... My weak link. I believe that it is vibrating against something when I hit larger bumps.. So its probably my own darn fault for not mounting it solid enough.... I'm filtering in my garage by heating it up with two hot water heaters, blowing bubbles through a pneumatic exhaust cylinder with aquarium pumps.. then pumping it through a 25 micron, then a 10 micron filter. I have the parts for the dieselcraft centrifuge, but haven't found the time to set it up yet.... Three kids limits how much time in the garage there is....

i got slavkos gocanola/svd gen 1 in my mercedes and gen 2 in my delica.
its a heat exchanger plumbed to the heater lines, with a valve in it.
my filter is simply a 10 micron spin on filter plumbed in line.

i settle the oil for up to 3 months and run it through a Raw Power Centrifuge

i got three extra kits for sale if anybody is interested

any reason you went with the 6401N with the thermostatically controlled coolant heat (approximately 80°) instead of the 6400N with no thermostat in it?

I'm thinking of putting a 6400N in place of the stock filter and the Elsbett heated filter (for ease of replacement as I have yet to find a replacement for this filter) with just a manual shutoff valve on the coolant for when I run straight diesel.

More options have come out. Would be nice to hear what you guys are running out there.

Racor was replaced with Vegmax2 heated filter and two 3way valves from plantdrive. Running a dual tank system.

I like the stuff that Leon and Jason are working on at http://www.wvodesigns.com/

Their stuff is pretty slick and at the same time cost effective. They have the hot sticks in different lengths now, a heated filter (combo coolant and electric) that is very low profile, and some very nice but inexpensive FPHEs (http://www.wvodesigns.com/wvo-conversio ... r-wvo.html).

nice prices. Thanks for sharing Kuan. Hot stick is on my list.

After using walbro inline pumps I'm sold on them. They are in the field serviceable, replaceable filters, long dry run time and the best part is if they die, they will not restrict flow so it will not put stress on the vane pump at the injection pump if it goes.

http://www.fuel-pumps.net/frb51.html if your tank is far back (L400/L300 rear spare tire area) and you're running wvo without a heated pickup. The additional psi will help push the thick wvo.

http://www.fuel-pumps.net/frb111.html if your tank is closer up front (L300 side mount or L400 stock tank location) with or without a heated pickup. PSI rated for stock IP.
