Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Post by rezdiver »

Anyone ever see anything like this made for the Delica? if there is nothing for aftermarket i was thinking of building them for myself.
I know Some big rigs, Unimogs and Pinzgauers had them.

Funny you should post this I ran into a Landrover 101 CabOver with them.

This reminded me of the 404 I was in the summer and how great they are.

I was thinking of making some too. I would be interested in them.

I thought of this a while ago and was hoping that someone would make some for sale. The steps need to be designed so that they fit all of the different Deli rims ,i think it would better if it attached to three of the six allen bolts on the auto hub plate. Anyway if you make some we will take a pair . Jay and Christine Tardis Deli

I think that close to the hub center should have little effect you could balance them if you needed...

The problem with bolting onto the manual/auto hubs is you could not get the tire off without removing (As I think the hub size and rime bore is very close (I think)....

it you used long wheel lugs you could then bolt the step on the other side of the long lugs. Like a budd wheel. You would still have to unbolt them to pull the wheel but the wheel wrench would fit.

the L300's are too high for this to make any use don't you think? We've got steps/doors on the front and the rear ladder/side door. Other than the MadMax look :-D

No I always get in by stepping on the front Hub. Step would be great...

the front steps on mine are removed and in most parking lots I cannot get the door open enough....Tired of getting really expensive paint on my door from those cars in parking lots :-D

i never use the aftermarket step that came with my deli, i cant even see how you would use that thing as a step, i either step on the hub or use the step inside the door.
as far as wheel balancing it will not affect it enough to make a difference.

I will look closer to see what option would be best, i could make it work with the wheel lugs but would have to see about sorting something out inregards to the wheel lug tapers.

or i can try and make lugs to adapt the step onto the lugs like this wheel winch adapter i have on my iltis, look at the rear wheels:
