Absolutely no plans for the next year. From now until May I'm doing nothing but saving for my trip.

Take few things off the roof = same power gain as intercooler :-D

That's a much cheaper solution. I'll do that when I return from my trip. 8-)

Here are the pictures of how the sound system hinges to allow access to the engine compartment. (sorry, the van is a complete mess)

I've also added a picture of my pyro and where it's mounted. 8-)

That would cause some headaches! :-D

Here is a picture of the oil catch can I got from Maximum Overdrive. The tubing is 9mm so it will need a step-up adapter.

Check if there is any kind of baffling inside that catch can, most cheap ones have nothing. If nothing then find some way to squish a metal pot scrubby or two in there or it will be as useful as man boobs in actually removing any oil vapour. Also make sure that tubing and/or the inlet/outlet size isn't significantly smaller than that of what is one the engine or you can end up pressurizing your crankcase and blowing a seal.

There are 2 sizes of tubing, 9mm and 15mm. I'm not actually sure which is on the engine. mdrive just said to put in a step up or down adapter depending on what is there. It looks like the bottom of the canister is held in place with 4 bolts so if I undo those and put in a 'scrubby' I should be good to go?

EDIT: I just opened it up and there is nothing inside, so you're suggesting I put in one or two of those green pot-scrubbers? Should they sit at the bottom or top or does it matter? Do I not have to worry about contaminating the oil with this?

Thanks

Get a couple of the stainless steel kind of pot scrubbers that look like a big ball of fairly loose rings not the green pads. Put 1 or 2 in the can depending on space. You don't want them to be compacted too much...you still want the air to flow easily but with disruption. The pot srubbers give lots of surface area for the oil vapour to be disrupted and impact on and cause it to separate from the vapour and collect in the can (ie letting the can do its job) leaving cleaner air to return to the engine.

Image Example of ssteel pot scrubber. You can pull it apart a bit to loosen it up a bit if it comes too tightly wound.

I used an empty oil catch tank on my Supra, and it worked flawless...
