Luberfiner oil filter question

Ok so I bought two luberfiner oil filter lp 2268 for my 94 Paj 4M40 and noticed that the two filters are different inside the part numbers are the same but one does not have the rubber disc that sits about 1 1/2 down the inside with the hole in the middle, looks like a internal seal for the oil filter nipple?

Anyone know if they changed this? have it installed now as I had already drained the oil out.....

Any Ideas if the rubber disc needs to be in the filter??, I may see if I can call luberfiner and see what they say...
