My Lady is looking at (at my nudging) a 2006 Montero. The thing is loaded and looks great, but I don't know much about them other that what I read online. Looks like a rugged SUV, more truck than car, but has lots of bells and whistles. We were originally looking for a newer 2006-ish 4Runner, but they are way expensive. THis things is about $15K, which seems reasonable giventhe condition (super clean) and mileage (130K).
Any thoughts?

It's more luxury-ish.
If you are fine with the poor fuel economy and weird rear window visibility then it's an average SUV for that time.
