HI All,
I want to remove the "trim" along the side of my van in order to install some storage. Will it weaken the van? the marker lines indicate where I would like to cut....
any opinions on this? it is along where the rear Air Conditioning unit once was.
Thanks in advance.

Thats a pretty big chunk. It would for sure weaken the structure. I am sure its way over engineered so as long as you are keeping the van for a while go for it.
Are you wanting to put one big storage unit in there or a few smaller ones. I would cut it out and then weld in some bracing where you dont want storage.

x10 on Structure. I'd put a storage unit that can offer support!Slimdog wrote:Thats a pretty big chunk. It would for sure weaken the structure. I am sure its way over engineered so as long as you are keeping the van for a while go for it.
