Post by gtr »

Hey everyone.

I come to you guys after putting a deposit on my new DD. a 1994 Mitsubishi pajero exceed. 2.8L turbo diesel. I see you have allot of info regarding the delica which uses the same engine in the L400 so I thought for info on my beast this would be the best place, if anyone has any more websites that I could go around to get more info on pajero's pm me them. But I like this forum allot been scoping it allot and everyone seems nice and has great advice. I cant wait for my mitsu ownership to start!.
Ill give ya a history I have owned more then a few skylines and I cant wait to move into the world of diesel and perhaps get some vegtable oil action going on to save allot of pennies and the environment.
My pajero

Welcome to the club. I love the look of the four door Pajero. Reminds me of my old 89 Isuzu Trooper

Very nice buy. I have been watching that Pajero at Rightdrive for a while.

If you don't mind me asking, did you find insurance for it? How much is it costing you per month?

I am sticking with dejardins who currently insures my Nissan Skyline GTR at 230/mnth, my Mazda 323 gtx for 203/mnth, and will take on my pajero for 187.00mnth. Im 21, no accidents no tickets. I am a current client with them not sure if that makes too much of a difference, they like the pajero because its stock. Dejardins will not entertain mods of any kind to any vehicle. Besides them facillity is the only other company that will touch them and they want $$$$

So far just new glow plugs, and regular services, apparently only has 63,000kms on the clock. And I alternate vehicles. i dont drive them all at once, too much wasted money, the GTR is summer, the GTX is winter, and soon the GTX will leave to be replaced by the pajero as a DD.

If anyone is looking for a 1988 Mazda 323 GTX turbo awd pm me :P less then 1200 were built :P /shameless plug complete :P

Apparently the primer pump is dieing so that has to be fixed, one rear caliper is seizing and it could use rear brake pads, fun.

Did you get new tires with the Pajero, or did you buy it with the wagon wheels? I'm just curious.

They replaced two tires with a used pair as they were balding, I plan on putting on some nice new rubber once summer rolls around would also like to get snow tires for it.
