Why should one put in an EGR blanking plate?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

This only works if the valve is functioning correctly in the first place, if its full of carbon, and blocked open, then you still get a motor which doesnt run right. Mine was pretty clean, and blanking it hasn't made much difference, but I dont mind, I know it's no longer an issue. Diesel engines don't need it, at all, it's a measure to counteract certain emmissions for some countries, but it doesnt really help a diesel engine in itself.

I also have a few Blanking plates left, they are water jet cut out of .250 steel.
Hard too Believe one can cut through steel with water!!!
$13 for the Two plates that completly removes the valve.
I have deleted mine and noticed my Exaust gas Temps were slightly reduced and fuel economy increased a wee bit.
Limited Supply.
PM if interested.
Have a Happy New year!! :-D
