The mechanism which allows me to open the rear door in my Pajero has come apart and I can't open the door from inside or outside. Can anyone recommend a body shop or other type of repair facility that can pull the inside panel off and repair the mechanism.

That sucks!
When you say it's fallen off you mean you can actually see it or it's just that the outside handle is all loose and can't open the door? If it's the later try to give a few good knocks on the door about where the key hole is. Then go to your driver's door and lock/unlock it. Now go and try your rear door again.
If that was the case just clean/lube the mechanism and you'll be good. If it's actually fallen apart than I just wasted 30sec of your time... Stavros on Main & 23rd in Vancouver are good and honest.
