Why does the price change ?

Incentive pricing to garner interest, then a stabilizing of the pricing model to reflect the originally intended level.

I would much prefer them to be a little more open as to what this system is - obviously it's not the OEM system, else it would cost upwards of 1000$ and they wouldn't have to charge for three or four hours labour to install it.

As much as I want to agree, I've never recieved any warrenty for automotive electronic parts that I have purchased.

I figure it is just a matter of time before one of us figures out the cheap fix and lets the rest know. That is what I've always appreciated about this and other forums. Share the wealth (of knowledge that is).

We have analyzed Mitsubishi glow plug control system throughly from L300,L400 and Pajero to avoid
1. worthless repair( It seems to be repaired at first with spending over $550, but broken again very soon ) or
2. buying a super expensive Mitsubishi original control unit( over $1200 part only ).

Through repetition we found out relatively low priced substitute parts from Mobis ( Hyundai/Kia part company ) and had a success of rebuilding broken glow plug control unit in Mitsubishi diesel.
We think this success was caused partially by co-share of small diesel technology between Mitsubishi and Hyundai at those times.
