I will be mounting mine on the upper corners of the door, above the window.

Check the legalities of bright reverse lights if you are running in BC.

Re: Bright reverse lights
I mounted some to an older truck that I once owned. Pretty simple. I went to Princess Auto and bought the supplies and had a friend help me install it. Basically put a toggle switch on the dash, ran power straight from the battery and then ran the wiring to the lights underneath the truck. I am sure there is a way to set it up so they come on when you put it into reverse but that's above my level of DYI. Just had to be sure not to suck the battery dry by forgetting to turn them off.
Good Luck

Re: Bright reverse lights
You could also just simply put brighter bulbs into your reverse light sockets... there are halogen versions around that are about twice as bright as the original ones (I think original ones are 10 or 15 watts - not sure... but if you put a 20 or 30 watt halogen bulb in there, it'll be way brighter...) and saves you the headache of cutting, drilling, mounting external ones... There are also incredibly bright white LED's available...

Re: Bright reverse lights
its easy to hook them up to reverse.
just tap a relay into your reverse lights you already have. when you are in reverse, the lights will then come on.
