Admittedly not Deli related, but I just finished watching an Aussie group reenact the 1907 Peking to Paris race in 5 original cars, so have a healthy respect for that territory - that plus watching Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman do it in the Long Way Round.
I'd suggest downloading the torrent for the Aussie P to P show, it's a good yarn :)

Bot the above are a bit less long winded than the youtube vids that Kona posted! I tried watching a few, but he loses me fairly quickly... would be good if you were planning on actually doing it though!
