A good word for Silk Road

Post by lrp374 »

I was down @ the coast on the weekend and had some time Friday so I stopped by Silk Road to let Karim know how happy I've been with the van and ask a few questions about a small nuisance oil leak I thought was likely coming from the front seals. I was concerned that over time it could affect the life of the belts. Karim was not in but Abdul said it shouldn't leak and offered to replace the seals – free of charge, right there and then. I didn't have time then but made arrangements to have the work done Saturday @ 10:00. By 12:20 I was on the road with brand new seals. Did I mention I bought the van in Dec. 2008 and have put 20 000 km's on it since then. I've never had free work done after warranty on a vehicle I bought new let alone one that's close to 20 years old!!!

Great work guys.

Cool people! I went by to check out their HDJ81V the other day. Nice truck, too bad it isn't F/R locked.

Ya I'd like to add to that. I bought my 94 GLX from them 3 weeks ago, and when I was going through the buying process I found Abdul very straight forward and honest, he answered all my delica questions and gave me some tips on general maintenance. Kharim was also very confident in Abdul's work, apparently they have serviced and sold something like 258 Delica's in the past 7 years and know the ins and outs of them quite well. I was assured that if anything went wrong in the first three months of my ownership they would fix it at no cost. They have a 3 month bumper to bumper warranty that I am sure most dealers have, it was just the fact that they where confident in their work and all the deli's were in top notch shape, even the detailing was super! Looking over "Chester the molester" (My ride) now, I have yet to find any issues other than my windshield wiper fuse going. Only time will tell, but I feel confident with my purchase and would recommend them if you are looking for a clean reliable ride.
