I concur. Curious as to where all the plates and gear in the trailer ended up after some of those rides.

Re: Towing Power!
If you watch the trailer axles moving as he drives along - that's a pretty neat articulating setup he has on that thing!

Re: Towing Power!
That is really cool! Those trailers are made to be bashed. I have been in Australia and owned a Toy Land cruiser troop carrier, 1979 and drove 36000km without a major problem. Travel all around the country for a full year and these vehicles are the best 4X4 you can get. Australians really know how to 4wheel drive. Too bad we can’t import the troop carriers cause it was my first choice for a camper. So my second choice turned out to be the delica, which is excellent in its category.

Who said you can not import a Troopy? It just needs to be at least 15 years old...FredVenne wrote:That is really cool! Those trailers are made to be bashed. Re: Towing Power!
You’re right!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there is a lot of modifications to be done in order to register these vehicles in Canada. I was looking (in 2003) to import my Troopy, but I was told that it would cost me a lot of money and mods to get the inspection to pass. So you are right that you can import them. I should have chosen better words. My bad!

Re: Towing Power!
I don't think you will need much to go through inspection here. Just some H4 headlights, amber front signal/running lights, amber side reflectors, and DOT tires. Just find some FJ45 parts.
