DOT and E code?

Post by bradrutherford »

i recently bought some e coded headlights on ebay and installed them. They work good but i then called an inspection place and the dude says that they have to say DOT on them. Did i buy the wrong headlights?

Thanks Brad

No you bought the right headlights, E-Code ones are the equivilent to DOT. So you are ok, they will pass.

Check out the CVSE requirements - http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/cvse/vehicle_in ... ements.pdf
Page 5

They require e-code headlights, print out that PDF document give it to your shop.
