Well said Paul, and my sentiments exactly. Although I'm sure you mix up a wicked batch of paint sometimes... Especially after some of those videos you post ;)FalcoColumbarius wrote:

If it is illegal then the authorities will know soon enough. Slander because he won't share his secret with you is not very becoming. I think it's a good time to move this thread to the last word cafe.

Re: What shall we do about green1?
I think this poll is whiny and stupid.
Nothing personal but it's another stupid thing to do.
Not everything you do is stupid or arguable.
You have some valuable contributions to this place.
You just need to be able to walk away after you say something
and leave it be. Why argue?
If you find yourself getting up and ticked about something being said
just don't open the thread again.
Sometimes personalities clash but try to let things slide.
Go into politics or something if you like to argue but
leave that alone here. One person who disagrees
will either, work it out, break something, lose something,
find a better way or whatever. You aren't responsible.
It's like poor superman, he's super but he can't save everyone.
Nor would I want to be saved. It's called freedom to screw
up.
OK, ok ok I sound pathetic but it's my one day
for me to do that.. pity party and all.
Nuff said.
And I won't open this thread again to see myself
flamed.. it's easy.

Re: What shall we do about green1?
well... while the majority chose "let him stay", several of the people who gave the "stay" opinion also indicated they felt that I was overall a negative influence on the site...
As such I have no choice but to conclude that the general feeling on this site is that the site would be better off without me.
I do not post on this site for my own benefit, all I need I can get by lurking or by googling. I post to give back to the community, it appears that the community does not want to hear from me, so I will not burden you with my posts any longer.
Goodbye.

Re: What shall we do about green1?
Too bad you feel that way.
You've got some great ideas in that head of yours.
Shame you let complete strangers pester you into leaving this forum via a computer.
I've met you in person at previous ikea meet and you seemed like a great guy.
I didn't think you were the type of person to just pack up and leave because someone got to you in a forum.
A shame.

Re: What shall we do about green1?
50% want you gone, 50% want you to stay but loose the attitude.
"general feeling is the site would be better off without me"
i would say you are looking at it the wrong way. you know you had the same feelings toward you on another site so maybe you need to work on your cyber presonality. 50% want you to stay which shows that you do contribute to the site.
50% want you to leave but they are not saying why they want you to leave and i will have to guess for the same reason.
so
you can leave and lose a big part of your happiness or you can go look in the mirror and see if that argumentitive, over sensitive individual looking back at you is who you really want to be. if not then change that part of your personality.
when i met you in Calgary i thought to myself this is a pretty cool guy, very likable, you got drive and the ability to search for information. i liked annd trusted you enough to put you on the committee with IVOAC BUT during our conversations around the table that night you did the same thing you are doing now. your positive attributes was much more powerful than this ONLY irritating flaw so i ignored the problem and you have been a great help over there.
your devotion is obvious. if you like something you give it your all and that is commendable and i encourage you to continue. if you want any advice from an old fart then this is it: quit worrying about always being right. in the end nobody gives a crap and all it does is cause you stress.
the site, from what i have seen, will miss your positive posts.
as for this tread, at first i thought "what an attention slut" but as i saw the voting i began to feel compassion for you. you are a great guy with an irritating flaw.
i would suggest don't leave, just relax and let go.
the choice is yours to make.

Quel drame.Goodbye.
Deleting the entire thread would be the most productive mod action IMO. That way the drama will end here and erode away with time.

Cut the dramatics and git yer arse back here and keep on posting - those that don't like what you have to say can either not read your posts or go soak their heads - aka get bent, go shag themselves, toss off, etc....

Happy Day!

Re: What shall we do about green1?
I enjoy this site because my knowledge is lacking when it comes to vehicles or projects. Coupled with that I have a need to know correct way, in my own mind, of completing them and have confidence I will be succesful before I start anything. This site helps me struggle through my projects, I appreciate everyone that puts forward their knowledge here for others to benefit from. I like to help people when I can and it is nice to be a part of this group to feel some love back.
Thanks Green1 and everyone else that is contributing here. I do not always think that all projects are done the way I think they should be done but I gleen useful information from everyone.
cheers

X3, I think the key on any forum is to not get personal or take things too personally. People say things online that they never would in person. You just have to take these comments with a grain of salt.jwfchase wrote:Well said!delicat wrote:Hey Green1,
Tough love isn't it! Honestly, at times I shake my head at how you must always have the last word but I've still learned a lot from you and appreciate your commitment. And when you do insist on having the last word and beat that dead horse it's still very entertaining!![]()
But as I said, you have contributed most than anyone on this forum and Delica.ca wouldn't be the same without you... So of course you gotta stay, maybe just give that poor horse a rest!
Cheers,
David
I found your posts very useful and I am glad you are a contributor. I'll miss not having you as an active L400 moder that I can take inspiration from.

Goodbye.
Where is the I do not care button?
This is just a form to talk about the Delica, that is all.
I have read lots of your post and for you own health you may want to leave. People will disagree with your opinion that is why it is an opinion.
State your opinion, but do not be surprised if people do not agree.
Personally, I do not care if you stay or go. I will get along fine with or without your posts.
That being said I think the community is better with you. My advice is be a member, give you opinion, AND LET THINGS GO! 6 post re-stating your opinion over and over serves no one.
Enough Drama already.

Green,
Take the good advice given here.
Suck it up and get back to it.
A great pasta sauce is made from alot of different tastes.
Don't volunteer to be the meatball.

Why don't we let Green1 become a moderator?
