The Miss Lil' Bitchi is going in soon for servicing and when she's in we're not just changing the oil. I got to get underneath her with a wire brush and some anti-rust paint; flushing the rad; flushing the tranny; changing the diff fluids; shifting the tyres one last time before I get new ones, which will be later on this year.

One thing I am thinking of doing is rebuilding the drivers seat which has flattened a little over the years. When I do this I was thinking of building some memory foam/gel structure into the equation. I have noticed that I hear more things when I am sitting on this stuff. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me then my chiropractor informed me that because of the cushion not so many vibrations are rattling up my spine, hence I hear more things outside of my body. Plus it's really comfortable.

Yeah, it's a little quieter the last couple-three days.... :? .... Perhaps it's the moon.

Falco.

By the way, I like the designs around your air intake and where did you get those tail pipes! They are crucial.

Hey Maddog ~ how'sitgoin',eh? What are you up to these days? I just blanked out my EGR and stopped up the vacuum tube today. It's a part of my ongoing spring clean ~ doing the fluids next, rotate the wheels.... Also, got a leak at one of my rear shocks, where the air hose meets it. Just an ongoing list of things to do on my ship... smiles. Glad Mr. Flibble got you sorted out.

Recently found a Japanese street vending group that do ramen, sashimi cones and other cool things. Thinking these guys might be a good place to wrap a mini Delica meet around.

Everyone is good on my end, Nitty :-D .

Gday Falco, Nitty, all :-D

Gday Falco, I'm pretty good thanks mate and just like you....trying to do some running repairs on my Deli. Gotta work out my front lower control arm bushes.... Just got one set of bushes the other day and am now trying to work out how to set my jack up to use it as a press to push out the old bushes. Seems while doing a little xtreme 4x4 stuff I stuffed the bushes so now I gotta pay for my heavy handedness :? Oh well that half the fun of owning a good 4x4 huh!

Anyways,, seems the snags n steaks n ribs n kebabs are ready, COFFEE's hot too so Nitty tells me :-D So sit down enjoy a good brew and a feed :-D

Cheers all

When you say "bushes" are we talking about "bushings"? 'Cause that's the first thing to come to mind.

When I originally had my bushings replaced the guy who installed them cranked them down really hard and I think he crushed them to a point that now when I land on them they make this munchy sound, so I'm thinking of replacing them. Some people go with polyurethane and some stick by good old rubber. What are you using for your bushes?

Your Health.... Cheers,

Falco.

Gday again Falco,

I'm talking about bushes I think :? (at least here in Australia anyway :-D ) Mmm! now I'm confused bushes nor bushing sounds right at the moment, temporary case of alzhiemers I think :-)

Anyway, I like the rubber ones as they dont need periodical maintenance.

Are you talking about the bump stops?? as in the rubber or urethane ones that stop the control arms from from hitting the chassis when the shockies have reached maximum upwards or downwards travel?

Better I take a pic than confuse yourself or myself :?

Must be time for a coffee

Cheers mate

Speaking of bushings, I mean bushes; whilst camping amongst them last week during Songkran (hut'ing it as we can't get a Delica here) indulged in the most decadent dinner possible - cold as ice chocolate milk with a couple of big scoops of (the good stuff) Milo (bought to share here in the Cafe, but it's going fast) served over Frosted flakes (SOOOO good), eaten well watching the swifts fly in great clouds to the cave, riverside well the water buffalo grazed on the far side and Randi made disappointed noises about our food choices, as she enjoyed a Papaya salad.

That's what we used in the bushes. Maddog, cheers from a similar time zone, think he was talking about bushes on the attachment ends of the front sway bar.

Also check out the website of the http://www.cavelodge.com/, maybe one day soon we can have a Delica coffee meet around the fire there??

Edit and by the way, the caves there were simply awesome..

Cheers

No problem; wow the MAe Hong Song loop by bike in April, I'm impressed. I only bicycle before 8 am or after 5-6 pm this month, or the heat makes it tough. Canadian blood, old age.

Cave Lodge hasn't change, the caves are incredible aren't they, but Pai has, it's not like you'd remember. Was my first time exploring the town, having only driven by many times before. Now everybody describes Pai as what it was, and many are not happy with what it is now. Wasn't as bad as everybody said, just a very friendly, overly touristy town that was a nice, quiet place to spend a few days in.

Couldn't take a dip in a hot spring given the outdoor temps, no crowds to worry about though,
