Yay!picking up our First Delica on Tues! X-canada in april!

Post by Ursula »

Buying it privately... been mostly highway driven, and well maintained by coombs country auto...
She's a 92 Super Exceed, blue on top white on the bottom.
We are very excited!
We have plans to remove the Rear seats, put in a bed and a kennel, and head out on a cross Canada tour, Bringing our Accordion Banjo Folk-Noir music to un-suspecting victims along the way.
Also interested in WVO, somewhere down the road... but i've heard allot about it being really rough on the fuel pump?
This site has been a great source of inspiration!
We'll be taking pictures of our journey, and the delicas and posting them somewhere...
Nice to meet you all...

Welcome to the cult, Ursula & Nathan. Look forward to seeing some pictures of your new ride. As far as WVO and fuel pumps go ~ I would imagine that would depend on the quality of oil you put in. There are a number of WVO enthusiasts in Delica Canada. Be sure to peruse the forum index, there is a nice section there on WVO. Welocome aboard! :M :-D

Thanks, Falco!
We'll have pics up as soon as we're able!
Also thinking about documenting the transformation from "family transporter" to "ultimate tour vehicle"!
WVO will just have to wait until after tour... one mod at a time.

Hey,
If it is the van I am thinking of ,
you got yourself a nice one!
Sky Blue over white?

When you guys are ready for the veggie madness,
there is a bio-coop down in your neck of the woods I do believe.
If needed,I often have enough of the golden delicious
hanging around in various stages of purity if you
guys want a barrel to get you started as you figure out your
oil sources and system set-up.

Keep up with your oil-changes and maintenance and
harvest the smiles of having a deli!

Right On! 8-)

It might be the one you're thinking of, colour scheme sounds right, and it's been living in Nanaimo...
I took it for a test drive, and i have to agree it is a nice one!
I really would like a proper setup for the veggie option, perhaps you could suggest a good mechanic who specializes in conversions, ideally who knows a bit about delicas...
You're offer is generous! Might take you up on it when the timing is right!
