Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Dual tank system and multiple sending units for L400

Post by steepcreeker »

I am trying to build a dual tank system for Waste Veg. I am wondering if anyone has a schematic of the dual tanks of the L300? Also, wondering if anyone has tried this and has some experience to share on the subject.

In the Mods, I also need to know the Ohms rating of a sending unit in a L400 tank. So if anyone has that or knows where to find that it will be appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

there is only one sending unit in the L300 tanks, this is from my memory (faulty at times) of removing and cleaning both tanks. there is a siphon between the tanks I believe. most people either drive till the veg tank is empty and switch to diesel or install a second gauge for the veg tank. I though calibrating the sending unit in the veg tank to work with the stock gauge and wiring it to a switch and/or the valves that switch the veg would be a pretty cool way to go though.

Yeah Loki,

That is what I did on my L300 WVO system. I calibrated a new sending unit to the same frequency as the sending unit in the Diesel tanks. I then connected the two of them through the Pollack valve. The fuel guage in the dash works with both with a flick of the switch. It is a super sweet system. I went in to see the big truck boys today and they told me to do a siphon system as well. So, I will have a 70 L and a 104 L belly tanks connected for WVO and then a 41 L for the Diesel. I plan on keeping the tyre under the van as well. We'll see how it goes on the L400.

Still looking for sending unit frequency of an L400 though....HELP! :-D
