NOOB question: when was the DELICA 4X4 discontinued?

Post by sedition »

Hi,

I live in Taiwan.

I'm thinking about having a second kid and thinking about buying a van.

There are heaps of DELICA 4X4 here, as well as DELICA gasser vans.

I had been told that the DELICA 4X4 was discontinued in the early part of the 2000's but I'm looking at one on a local buy and sell website from 2007.

The Mitsubishi Taiwan site kind of indicates that they might still be available.

I read the thread about some sort of joint venture between Mitsubishi and China where the tooling might have been sold to China for these selected vehicles (like old VW's and Mexico) but I get the impression that they are being made in Taiwan, not China.

Does anyone know for sure whats going on?

If this has been discussed earlier, the link would be swell.

Thanks in advance.

You were misinformed. The Delica is still made today. It has gone through some changes over the years though.
The L300 has been made since 1969, and is still in production today. (This is the one you posted a link to)
The L400 was built from 1994 until 2007
The D5 started production in 2007 and is still being made today.
