Welcome to the site.... I'm in Calgary Alberta and there are lots of people from England here and the Delica presence is decent.....However The west coast is the place to be for Delica fanatics....The weather is awesome and the people rule, especially all the ones on this site very helpful and funny as HE!!...

Welcome to the forum, and well met. How long have you had your van? Is it modified? Lifted? Tricked-out?
As for your thoughts on moving to Canada, unless you overly enjoyed the winter you got walloped with this year, you might want to consider the Lower Mainland of BC or the bottom tip of Vancouver Island. What with most of Canada not being awash in the Gulf Stream most of the year, our winters are the kind Austrians or Swiss are more familiar with than English. My parents just moved back to the West Coast after having enough winters (25) in Alberta (they're slow learners).

Welcome! The "Left Coast" is where you want to be, unless, as mentioned you like extremely cold winters. I should know, I grew up in Montreal. Living on the bottom end of Vancouver Island now, I love the fact that it is +10 and there are cherry blossoms on all the trees around here. As mentioned, there are Delicas everywhere in BC.
As Vancouver B.C. is the closest major port from Japan, Delicas are common here. They become less and less common as you move east (and because they are RHD vehicles, they are in fact, banned in Quebec).

Hey Bunny, welcome to the cult, Canadian style.
What year is your L400? We have this law in Canada that says you import vehicle has to be 15 years old. Currently we are on the '94s.

Re: new member from the UK.
hey all, thanks for your replies.... and advice. i drive a 1995 blue over grey L400 LWB with shogun alloys and BF at's. i have given it a lift by putting on range rover springs on the back and tweaked the torsion bars for the front. nothing else too extreme at the moment. a decent head unit with 2 LCD 7" screens in the rear. parking pole, sump guard, snorkel and ladder....plus a few decals... basically all the bits i wanted when i got her. she is in need of a bit of tlc soon with pump seals and timing chain to do. i do have a very nice turbo to go on which was sourced from a 3l V6 shogun but will put that on after the new chain etc...
thanks for the advice re.where to go.... i kind of want a relaxing outdoor lifestyle and i certainly dont mind the snow. i live in cornwall which does not get much snow at all and i really miss the snow since living here. i am a nurse and so is my girlfriend so i would hope to find work but ideally i want somewhere with a fair summer and a decent winter.... who knows it might never happen as we have kids and dogs to consider but maybe one day.... anyhow thanks again for your interest everybody and see you all soon...

Right, open another tab on your browser; post your pictures in some photo site like "Picasa"; open a "post a reply" window then click "Img" in the menu bar; click & drag from your photo site ~ it should look a little like this: .
