Hello Sid here,
It has been a long time since I have posted. Just happily driving my L300 for the past 2.5 years. Best vehicle I ever owned.
I do have an issue with my wipers though. there is a clicking noise coming from behind the sheet metal just below the windscreen when my wipers are on, which in N Van is a lot. Clearly it something with the mechanisim that operates the wipers. Anyone had the same? If so any feedback would be appreciated.
Thx Sid.

Re: front wiper noise
is it a loud clicking or a quiet clicking? is it quieter than, say, your glow plug relay? could be the relay for the wipers

Re: front wiper noise
Does it click when on intermittent or when on low/high speed? If only intermittent, then it could be the relay; if low/high then it could be mechanical, in the linkage somewhere.
The problem with this fault is all that wiper-stuff is tucked way up in front of the dash. I've never had the dash off in my L300, but I imagine it would be a bi7ch to get at all that!

Re: front wiper noise
Thanks guys but it is definitley a noise associated with the linkage itself. Not electrical I guess I got to get under the dash and do some digging... I wish I had smaller hands

Re: front wiper noise
Pull the wiper arms of and check the torque on the big jam nut under the drive spline . We just went through a thread where several were found to be loose (including mine). Its an easy fix as long as the wiper isn't seized on the drive spline.Suerte.

Thank You Andy
That is what it was, both nuts were loose causing movement in the mechanisim resulting in the annoying noise.
No seizing issues with the splines. Fixed up good as new in 15 minutes. Let it rain.
Sid.
