Plant Drive Conversion kit?

Post by Squamishtoaster »

Hi I am thinking about having a plant drive conversion kit installed on my 92' L300. Does anyone know if this is a good product and is there anything I should be aware of. Your response is appreciated thanx.

It's a very good product, veery affordable and Canadian (BC)!

I've run mine for over 25,000km without a glitch and the same will go in my next truck for sure. Fell free to drop by my place to have a look how it's installed in mine or check this post:

Hi - thanks David. We have converted and sold kits for quite a few L300's.
The first one was a few years ago and it has been across the country several times.
I have a '92, and that one has the VM2 filter and two 3-port valves bolted onto that, mounted under the battery area, and a Vegtherm Standard and Vegsensor. Works great.
It also has our custom aluminum tank, with an in-tank heater (Hotfox). Our 60 litre plastic tank fits perfectly, sideways, behind the back seat, with seat upright, and it's a lot cheaper than the aluminum tank, and your spare tire stays where it is. Each to his own, re; tanks. They are a pretty straightforward conversion and the Delicas run well on WVO that is decent quality, clean, water free oil.

Have a look at our site, plantdrive.ca, and give me a shout with any questions.

I had good success with my plant drive kit over the 40,000km I drove on it. I'm now going to try the same kit in my L400. Here's a posting of my install: http://www.delica.ca/forum/another-plan ... -1039.html
