Hi everyone, my name is chris and i am a delicaholic ;)

i found out about Delicas from a member on Retro Rides called Mystery Machine, and ever since i have been looking for a good one in the paint combo i like (grey top, silver bottom). Well yesterday i came across a 1992 delica which has snapped its timing belt :o, but at the price and condition i thought it worth a punt, so this morning i found that i had won it

Here here is my new £280 delica....

Welcome to Delica Canada, Panda :M :-D .

Nice looking Delica. Did you put a new engine into your new van? 280 Quid is a screaming deal, to be sure.

How is Mystery Machine? Haven't heard from him on the site lately, is he well?

Falco.

i am going to see about fixing the old engine first but seeing as i havent even picked it up yet, i dont know how bad the damage is. Will no doubt be getting the original seats off the seller, then have 4 seats and space for the business stuff (plumbing). After it is home i will also have to check the roof, as i hear that they rust?

Will give Mystery Machine a shout for him to pop over here :-D

We really do get screwed over in Canada when it comes to vehicles... even the used ones we have to scrounge from overseas...

Around here, a delica in decent shape goes for $6,000-$10,000. In really good shape from about $8,000-$14,000 and not even running goes for around $2,000.

For comparison, your £280 converts to about $478 for that price I might be able to buy a set of tires, but they won't have a vehicle attached!
