˙˙˙ɐılɐɹʇsnɐ ɯoɹɟ ollǝɥ ....Sorry.. Is this better.. Hard to type upside down but i will see how I go. Just Stumbled on your site. Someone posted a photo of an L300 with Queensland (the state I live in) plates . It has a snorkel on it. Thought while I was here I may as well say hello. I have a 97 Jasper 2.8 diesel

It is the 6th 4x4 Mitsubishi van we have had and I love it. We have had vans for the last 25 years as we have 6 children . Until abot 12 months ago we had 2 Delicas. My wife had a L400 LWB Super Exceed. The children are older now so we don't need 2 of the vans anymore so we sold hers and kept mine. The other cars I love are Subaru Impreza WRXs. We have 3 of them..

The one on the left is my wife's the middle one

is the one I drive most and the one on the right is my daughters.
We live in Brisbane which is on the east coast about an hour north of surfer's Paradise and an hour south of Noosa. You probably haven't heard of either of those places but they are semi famous so maybe you have. This is our house

This is the veiw from our downstairs veranda

We live in a rural area about 25 minutes out of Brisbane. I have been a member of http://www.delicaclub.com for about 5 years and have posted 3200 posts. Hopefully some of those have been useful. I am 55 and kind of retired. I worked for a large computer company as a contractor for 20 years and left a couple of years ago as I had had enough and now i just play around at home . My favorite thing is doing this

This track "Lakeside International Raceway" is about 20 minutes from home and has street races almost every week. My Rex has a 2.5 liter engine with lots of goodies and does 0-100KPH (62MPH) in 5 seconds and standing 1/4 in mid 12 seconds. It lots of fun on the road..

I have 2 sons 17 and 10 and 4 daughters..23,21,19 and 14. My wife is a wonderful mother and wife and her favorite thing is keeping fit. She goes to the local gym about 16 hours a week. We have dogs and chickens and the wild birds come to the veranda for food. This is my youngest daughter about 2 years ago feeding some of the birds..

We have other peoples horses on our property. One had a foal recently

Well that is about it. I am happy to answer any qs about Australia and I will have a look around your site.. Cheers..

Hi Chris...It is a shame about the photos. I will try to resize them. I have seen photos on this site that are bigger than 800 pix across so I am not sure how it's done. Normally I just copy and paste from Photobucket. This is how to do inverted text ɯoɔ˙ʇxǝʇpǝʇɹǝʌuı//:dʇʇɥ . I didn't want to make it too easy for you.. :-D .You guys are exactly 18 hours behind us. So it is 9.55am here now. It is a beautiful spring day. It is 25.9 degc. I see a lot of snow in your photos. I have never seen snow in my life excepton TV etc. Anyway I am off to do stuff. I will have a play with some photos later. Cheers

Dude... What are you doing here ? I hope these guys appreciate your L400 knowledge.. While I got you here ...How come i cant put photos on here. It says...too big....or....they turn up tiny ?? I use Photobucket and normally just copy/paste and I do that on many sites without a problem. Resizing photos on PB every time I want to put one here is not going to happen . Cheers..

Greetings and well met.

First reading this thread on the Windows-machine at work (behind a firewall, with ActiveX turned off, and a bunch of other 'safety' features in place, for our own protection), the title looked like gobbley-goop and I thought it was spam. But here at home on my Mac-machine I can see that you put some thought into your post - C O O L !

The series 2 L400 is going to be a bit of a wait for us - didn't they come out in 1998? - but we're all excited about having access to the 'new' L400s (well some of us are). Myself, I prefer the ol' breadbox L300, although I've seen a couple of lifted, massive-bullbarred L400s which I thought looked agreeable.

We have snow in Australia but it is over 1000klm away and the Snow fields are too expensive for a family of 8 to stay at so I guess it will have to wait.. Cheers..

Sure.. Come on down. We have the best economy and the best lifestyle in the world. We are almost as big as the North American continent with only 25Million people. We have some of the best rainforests in the world and some of the biggest deserts. We have single cattle properties (Anna Creek Station 30,100sq klm or 5.5 million acres)that are as big as Texas. The Great Barrier Reef is spectacular . There is a car rental company here called Wicked Rentals and they have over 120 L400 Delicas all decked out for camping. Bed, Stove ,sink etc etc . They are all painted with murals . You cant miss them. Allow yourself 6 months at least. It really is BIG down here.We have had visitors from Delica clubs all over the world come and visit us. There are lots of internet cafes so you can keep Ozzie members informed where you are heading and people are happy to have a visit. . Cheers..

Well that's all well and good, but how many of the snakes and spiders will kill you??? Just kidding, I'd be there in a heart beat if we could afford the time and costs. Our neighbours just left for a month there and we are stuck dog/house sitting for them. Oh well, I guess they owe us, eh? Maybe I can borrow his Aussie passport and hang out down there for a few months once they are back.

Ah yes the wild life.. We do have the 10 most deadliest snakes in the world here and the spiders are just as bad but you guys cant talk cause you have the Brown Recluse spider that rots you flesh off. Ours just kill you.. BUT.. no Bears except the Koala but they are harmless unless one falls on you from a great height. We even have some rain forest trees that drop poisonous leaves and if you step on the little spikes on those leaves you will end up in intensive care..if you are lucky..Did I mention Centipedes and scorpions and meat ants. Wonder onto a meat ants nest and you will know all about it.. Death by a thousand stings........ Be VERY careful collecting fire wood here. Oh and if you are planning on having a swim..... I would be very careful. Most of the really deadly stuff is in the water..Box Jelly fish.. dead in 1/2 an hour but that will be a relief because at least then the pain will stop. And the cute little Blue ringed Octopus...a favorite with the kiddies ...2hours. We have some nice killer shell's as well.. not the sort of thing you want to put in your pocket. So if you survive the walk through the shallows into the deep water then the real nastys are around.. Have you ever seen Jaws ? There was a 4 meter shark caught of Stradbroke Island last week and before it got to the boat a 6-7 meter one bit it almost in half. Do a google and have a look at the photos. Since they stopped whaling here about 25 years ago there is a lot of whales off the eastern coast and when the fisheries find dead ones in Moreton bay near where I live, they tow them into the mangroves on one of the uninhabited islands in the bay to rot or get eaten etc. Now we have these huge sharks hanging around. Fortunately most of the beaches have shark nets but we still have a fatality every few weeks. I think that's about it.. Have I put you off coming ??? We somehow manage to survive. You guys dont all get eaten by Bears or Orcas , and we don't usually get attacked by sharks. But you do need to be careful here because in some places in Oz you can be 2000ks from a doctor.... Cheers.. If you are freaked out by stuff like this you can go to New Zealand. They have NO snakes and NO spiders or any other dangerous creatures. Just millions of sheep...

We don't get snow in Brisbane but we do get hail storms. This one was about 4 in the afternoon and the hail was about 1" diameter. It can get up to 9" long and 3" across but that is extremely rare. Offen it will be bigger than a golf ball. It smashes cars, houses and it can kill you.. These photos are taken from our downstairs veranda. I will see if i can find a video. The noise on a tin roof in a hale storm is deafening...

I have an orchard with about 50 trees and hail storms can take off every flower, fruit and leaf.
